The Elan Valley Run is back — and 2026 marks our 10 year anniversary, so we’re going bigger and better than ever before.

This isn’t just a drive out.

It’s a world-class Mini event that brings owners together from across the UK and beyond for an unforgettable long weekend in the heart of Wales.

Over the years we’ve welcomed Mini fans from all corners of the UK, across Europe, and even as far as Australia.

Now it’s time to celebrate a decade of Minis the only way we know how.

Base Camp – Penmaenau Farm, Builth Wells

Our base camp for the weekend is Penmaenau Farm, perfectly located in the heart of Wales, right next to the Royal Welsh Showground.
Gates open Friday at 12:00 noon and close at 22:00

This purpose-built events site has everything you need already in place:

Over 30 hot showers
Clean flushing toilets (no portaloos!)
Hot running water, sinks & soap dispensers
On-site catering and bar
Large indoor arena with stage (capacity up to 2,000 people)
Catering available throughout the weekend

BBQs are allowed (must be off the ground and not permitted during extreme dry spells)
Dogs are welcome on site (well behaved, on leads at all times)
Dogs are not permitted inside the arena.

Weekend Itinerary

Friday – Arrival & Settle In

Collect your run pack on arrival (Maps, local attractions, dining recommendations & full weekend itinerary)
Sign in and be allocated to your group and camping area
Settle in, relax, and soak up the atmosphere

Hotels are available in Builth Wells, all within a 10-minute walk of the venue Early booking is strongly recommended Bar open Friday evening with music on site This is a family-friendly event, with games and activities to keep kids entertained all weekend long.

Saturday – Drives, Adventure & Entertainment

Morning drivers briefing
Break into groups for the first drive of the day A scenic 1-hour route along fun Welsh country roads
Free time back at base to explore local attractions or enjoy our additional driving routes

Veterans Run (Afternoon)

An unforgettable 90-minute driving experience through the Ministry of Defence training grounds in the Brecon Beacons.

Cool off afterwards on our legendary 150ft waterslide.

Saturday Night Entertainment

We’re bringing the party to you with a 60s-themed evening, complete with:

Fancy dress
Live performances
Prizes for the best dressed club

Sunday – The Elan Valley Run

Sunday is the big one.

Hundreds of Minis come together to take part in the iconic Elan Valley Run, driving around the spectacular reservoirs as spectators line the route to watch the convoy sweep through the valleys.

The event officially finishes at the conclusion of the run.
